Get involved with communities of interest to you, online. Leave interesting and intelligent comments on blogs within your market, or you can join forums. Discover what the bigger picture is within your market, and try to become a part of it. If you are a benefit to your community and market, you will attract the right kind of attention to yourself and your business. You really should have no trouble at all finding forums to join or blogs to comment on, and most of them will allow a link back to your site. If you make a good effort to post insightful information that is relevant and helpful, your reputation will grow, and your chances of having viral content will be better.

You probably know this is not a precise science. This is due to no one being able to know what will become viral, or not. But you do have control over making your content worthy of notice and attention. But being lazy and only hoping won’t do a thing for you.
